A modest prediction about Brexit based on Biblical prophecies.

Towards "the end" the UK aligns closely with the US as seen in Revelation in the vision of the beast with the two lambs horns, the "lambs' horns" indicating the arrival in the UK/US political landscape of two leaders relatively new to power. So my prediction is that Britain will vote leave and Boris Johnson will replace David Cameron as the Conservative leader. This in turn will add impetus to the Trump campaign in the American presidential election. As America's closest ally adopts a more isolationist right-wing posture. So 2016 could end with Johnson and Trump as the leaders of the west, something that a short time ago would have seemed utterly ridiculous. In Revelation it is the beast with the two lamb's horns that breaths life into the image of the seven-headed beast held to represent the UN which in turn destroys religion. Among us Jehovah's witnesses the two-horned beast, is held to be the Anglo-American world power, it is also considered to be the final incarnation of "The King of the south" from the prophet Daniels' enigmatic prophecy. There are also two other representations of this political entity in Daniel chapters 7 and 8 both involving the arrival of a small horn who quickly becomes large and who acts successfully especially against the true religion for a very specific period of time, that is time, times and half a time, students of the bible will recognise the prophetic language for three and a half years. The characteristics of the small horn, boastful, arrogant bullying will have reminded many people of Trump and if he is successful in his campaign he would become a clear candidate for the role in prophecy that is played by the small horn of the book of Daniel.

Daniel 7: 8 While I considered the horns, look! another horn, a small one, came up among them, and three of the first horns were plucked up from before it. And look! there were eyes like human eyes in this horn, and there was a mouth speaking arrogantly

Empty Seats in the Gate

Strong men are weeping  Weeping softly at twilight  The sound rises with the  Smoke of cook fires The city trembles in the  Evening light for As the face of the sun has left the sky The voice of justice has fallen silent in the gate A child has taken his place  From the top of the wall a child lifts its voice  From the gate there is no answer  The eminent men are silent  The landowners examine Hastily written contracts in the  Weak light of a single lamp  Strong men selling their inheritance  For doubtful promises of safety  And the seats in the gate are empty

Wide of Oblivion

March in unison o’ divisions of my heart Of the sharded moon Let each battalion have its part To blind and blaze in its own heaven And fight by its phases More than seventy times seven. A braided heart I had in keeping Now bound and guarded Under eyes unsleeping I spurned the crass and goaded flesh When to have you then Was to love you less.
